Fees & Rebates
Fees
The appointment fee is currently $230 for a 50+ minute session at Wildfire Psychology. For out of hours appointments, on a Thursday from 5pm and a Saturday, the appointment fee is $250. Simone offers both face to face and telehealth appointments.
Rebates
If you are referred to see a Psychologist by your GP under the Medicare Better Access Scheme and are provided with a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP), this allows you to claim a rebate of $98.95 for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. After your 6th session, your Psychologist will provide a brief review letter to your GP, where upon review, they may refer you for a further 4 sessions.
If you have extras cover with your Private Health Insurer, you may be entitled to a rebate, if you have chosen Psychology as a rebatable service. It is encouraged that you speak to your insurer to seek clarification.
However you can not receive a rebate from both Medicare and your Private Health Insurance, for the same session.
Referrals
You do not need a referral to see a Psychologist or to claim through your private health insurance. You only require a GP referral / MHCP if you are planning on claiming through Medicare.
Payment
Full payment of the consultation fee is required at the completion of each appointment. Payment can be made via credit card with your authorisation in the Zanda Health booking system.
Cancellation Fees
Non-attendance at an appointment with less than 24hrs notice will incur a $150 cancellation fee, unless the appointment can be filled by the Psychologist.
Family Court Report Writing Fees
Full Single Expert Report
From $8,000 + GST
This includes four days set aside for interviews and psychometric testing, background reading material including subpoenaed documents and report writing. Turnaround time is four weeks.
Treating Psychologist Report
Hourly rate of $300 p/hr + GST
A treating Psychologist report can only be provided if the Psychologist has been working with the parent or child over an extended period of time such as 8 - 12 weeks or more.
